Cultivation Advice.

These clematis prefer a good quality soil with high nutrient levels and a soil which is moist but free-draining. Improve planting holes with at least 2 forkfuls of well rotted manure or garden compost and if you don't have these use a 'Soil Improver' compost. The improvement material added should be placed under the root of the plant not around it. This encourages the roots to grow downwards and remain deep and cool during summer. There is no need to deadhead these clematis, however if they appear to have finished flowering earlier than you expected, there is no harm in giving them a light trim to encourage new growth and a secondary flowering late in the autumn.

Beautiful

Well what a stunner of a plant.

I ordered this after seeing it on gardeners world program on friday night and it was delivered on the wednesday. Now it has been planted for 3 weeks and it is already 5foot tall and still going up to the top of the shed.

I am impatient to see it flower bu tit is already looking good.

Thanksagain Thornycroft for great service and great plants.

fantastic

Like the other reviewer, I ordered after seeing this on gardeners world. I had to wait as it was out of stock but Thorncroft kept me informed all the way. Also received detailed planting instructions, brilliant service and beautiful plants. Many thanks indeed for a tip top service

Does a Superb Job

I have massive pieces of granite in my garden here, in France, and this clematis has covered the whole area for several years with beautiful white flowers for weeks and weeks. Would not be without it.

Fantastic Clematis

I ordered this early last year having first seen it featured on Gardeners World on BBC2. It was very healthy but only had a few flowers initially but this year it has really taken off covering a rose arch with a profusion of flowers which seem to be lasting several weeks. Fabulous and worth buying.
