Pretty and striking flowers of white have a deep purple margin maturing to pale violet purple, borne in great abundance on this strong growing hardy clematis. A wonderful introduction from J van Zoest nursery Holland and introduced to the UK by Thorncroft Clematis at the RHS Chatsworth Flower Show 2017.
Included in this group are those clematis commonly thought of as Viticella's, or viticella crosses. However we have taken the liberty to include some other cultivars in this group because their growth, habit and appearance is identical to that of the Viticella's. They include the likes of 'Blekitny Aniol', 'Polish Spirit' and 'Prince Charles' because of their similarities, and for ease of selection, we feel justified in placing them within this group.
They are all extremely hardy, very free flowering, their pruning is simple and they cannot be recommended highly enough. Especially useful for people new to growing clematis as they are extremely tolerant of what the gardener does to them! They all make excellent companions to grow with roses.

This is the 6th clematis I have bought from Thorncroft this spring. It is too early to say how they will perform over time but they all arrived in excellent condition with strong, developed root systems. I would buy from here again.

A very pretty viticella
The colour of the border to the petals make this look very appealing and will set off the rose Inintend to grow it through. A very healthy plant.

Last year I bought and planted PERNILLE. It flowered non-stop for a very long time easily providing more flower power than several different established varieties that it was grown near. I also liked the colour of pink edged white flowers. It went very well with a purple flower (Night Veil) next to it.
