One of my all time favourite honeysuckle, Lonicera purpusii fragrantisima has dainty white flowers with a strong scent through the winter months and is loved by solitary bees especially on a mild winters day. It's winter flowering nature makes it a very attractive plant to provide year round interest and it is worth noting that it requires free draining soil to do its best for you.

Parthenocissus quinquefolia is the traditional Virginia creeper, a deciduous, self-clinging climber, with large green leaves in the summer, which turn bright red in the autumn, filling your garden with a real pop of colour.
