What makes 'Blue Tapers' so charming are the small bell-shaped flowers of mid blue that have a whitish staminode and are produced in great abundance.

Clematis BLUSHING BRIDESMAID was formerly known as clematis 'Kaiser'. This spectacular deep pink double clematis has rosette-like flowers often with a lighter pink spiky centre. Later flowers will be single but have a distinctive 'fountain-like' crown of petaloid stamens. A very compact variety.

Glorious vibrant red margins merge to deep rose-pink at the centre and have a prominent crown of contrasting yellow stamens. Always a stunning sight on our Chelsea displays.

Clematis Bredon Blue has charming and dainty mid-blue bell-shaped flower with a creamy-white inner skirt. A dainty but also very hardy plant, this will become a modern classic.

Clematis Broughton Bride has both single and double nodding bell-shaped flowers which are creamy white, speckled with lilac on the outsides of the tepals.

Clematis montana 'Broughton Star' has semi-double flowers of very deep plummy-pink, almost red, and a purply-bronze foliage as the plant matures - grow in a sunny position to enhance the colour of flowers and foliage.

The glorious vibrant red flowers have a textured surface and gently re-curved, twisted tips. Their distinctive crown of contrasting yellow stamens adds to the attraction of this outstanding performer. 

A native of Portugal and Western Spain, it has the most dainty little bluey-white nodding bell-shaped flowers whose tips are strongly recurved. This 'wild' clematis is worthy of space in your garden.

The pretty light pink star-shaped flowers have bright reddy-pink bars and a crown of wine red stamens. Hard pruning will keep the plant more compact and delay the flowering by a few weeks.

The clusters of rich deep blue hyacinth shaped flowers are strongly scented. A favourite in our garden. This clump-forming clematis has erect woody stems and requires free draining soil.

The gorgeous double rosette-like blooms have a mottled appearance, their cream base is heavily overlaid with blackcurrant-purple. Clematis Cassis is also a brilliant plant for container growing and is often better grown in that way.

Glorious rich red blooms are borne double and semi-double from the old wood early in the season with single flowers produced later. They are often burgundy when they first open.

This delightful new evergreen climbers produces beautiful creamy-white flowers against a backdrop of rich green foliage. The blooms are gently nodding and bell-shaped with a hint of pink to the tips of the filaments at the centre.  A charming and prolific winter flowering evergreen clematis that prefers a sunny location and requires a free draining soil.

A hugely popular clematis, 'Constance' will always be one of my favourites in the garden. Her semi-double nodding, bell-shaped flowers are deep reddish-pink.

The pretty pale pink star-shaped flowers have a delicate pink blush at the base of their tepals, which is enhanced by a crown of deep pink stamens. A compact, free-flowering climber perfect for a pot!

The distinctive mid bluey-mauve blooms appear fully double in early summer with single blooms later in the season. An old classic that we love to keep in our collection.

The beautiful blooms are deep cerise pink with a slightly paler bar. Occasionally the early blooms are semi-double. A lovely old classic dating from the early 1900's.
