These intriguing, dusky purple nodding urn-shaped flowers are completely covered with brown hairs. A semi-herbaceous clematis that dies down over the winter and shoots at the crown.

The light to golden-yellow double nodding bell-shaped flowers open from pale lime green buds and mature to lemon yellow with age having a delightful grapefruit scent. Blooms are most prolific in May but continue sporadicly through June. July and August.

The nodding bell-shaped flowers are pale violet-blue and produced in great profusion across the plant. A charming climber that is excellent as a companion plant and sometimes quite hard to find.

An intense and striking flower that really has the 'Wow' factor! - Its blooms are very deep cerise, almost red with a hint of mauve mottling.
Looks amazing grown with a cream coloured clematis like 'Guernsey Cream'

New in 2014, this beautiful clematis made a huge impact on our Chelsea exhibit. Its enchanting single and semi-double flowers are light pink with a deeper pink blush around the margins and central bar of the tepals.

The wonderful rosette-like double blooms are light pink with rich pink marbling that merges towards the rich pink outlined margins. As the blooms mature they become pale pink & later flowers are single.

His regal looking blooms have pale grey-blue margins that merge to a white bar and are offset by a crown of wine-red stamens. The early blooms are occasionally semi-double.

The dainty pearly-white nodding urn-shaped flowers have a pinky-mauve blush. A vigorous grower that makes a good companion to large shrubs, and whose delightful blooms make excellent cut flowers. 

Dainty bell-shaped flowers are a dull claret colour inside with a cream reverse and have cream anthers. The plant was discovered as a sport of 'Freckles' in 1995 by Merv Jerard of Lansdowne Valley, Christchurch, New Zealand. Often misspelt clematis 'Landsdown Gem'

Launched by Thorncroft Clematis - LAVALLEE No.1 has rich deep bluey-purple flowers that blend to an almost white bar in the centre of the tepal and very prominent purple stamens like luxurious eyelashes in the centre.

The slightly reddy purple blooms have a hint of white at the base of each sepal and almost black anthers. One of the largest blooms in the viticella group and very popular to grow with peach or apricot roses.

The outside of the nodding bell-shaped flowers is pale mauvy-pink with deeper pink margins. The inside has white bars and bright rose pink margins. Excellent for cut flowers and a favourite in our garden!

Clematis orientalis var. orientalis has masses of small pale creamy-yellow bell-shaped flowers that have a bright yellow inside and sometime a reddy-brown outside. The blooms are produced through mid summer to late autumn followed by an abundance of silvery seed-heads.

The rich mid-blue nodding bell-shaped flowers have light mauve-blue margins and strongly recurving tips.

The white, lightly scented flowers have a prominent crown of stamens and it has lovely bluey-green foliage. A slightly larger flower than other recta types.

The clusters of hyacinth shaped flowers are pale to light silvery-pink and makes an excellent 'front of border' plant. This clump-forming clematis has erect woody stems and requires free draining soil.

A native of the USA, it has glossy deep purple to purply-red nodding pitcher shaped flowers. Colour can vary slightly dependent on aspect and soil type. This rare species is a semi-herbaceous, deciduous climber that thrives in the sun.

Glorious purply-bronze foliage with clusters of small white star-shaped flowers that have a hawthorn-like perfume. The foliage is at it's best in the spring and requires some support to keep it upright in a herbaceous border.

The dainty pale yellow nodding bell-shaped flowers are borne in clusters and have a cowslip-like perfume. Occasionally slow to establish but is definitely worth the wait!

From an abundance of spiky buds, starlike flowers of mauve-blue appear and mature to pale mauvey-blue as they age. A slightly deeper pinky-lavender bar can be seen when they first open but quickly disappears.

Prolific starlike flowers of deep indigo-blue mature to a mid indigo and the central stamens open to reveal white filaments. Long flowering from mid-June to autumn, this is the oldest variety of the SAPHYRA® range.

Abundant fuchsia pink starlike flowers are shown off brilliantly against a bright green foliage. A more natural climber than the other SAPHYRA® cultivars, Nancy will happily climb up a small support, climb a wall trellis or create lovely ground cover. Also consider her to use as a scrambling companion in a border over other shrubs, her uses are varied thanks to her prolific and forgiving nature.

Star-shaped flowers of deep purply-blue are produced in great abundance on this compact and prolific scrambling clematis. Violetta can also be trained up a short support or allowed to cascade over a short wall and the flowers last well if you like to cut flowers for the home.

Clematis Sugar Sweet Blue - 'Scented Clem'. Enchanting, lilac blue star shaped flowers have a superb almond scent which is particularly good in the evening and early morning.
