Cut Flowers

The dainty semi-nodding flowers are slightly greeny-cream when first open and mature to almost pure white. The variety was discovered in Hagelby Park, Stockholm, and introduced in 1998 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Swedish Clematis Society.

The delicately scented, bluish-white nodding bell-shaped flowers have twisted tepals that reveal a mauve-blue bar on the inside.

The nodding bell-shaped flowers are pale violet-blue and produced in great profusion across the plant. A charming climber that is excellent as a companion plant and sometimes quite hard to find.

The bright lemon-yellow nodding flowers open out flat and have very pointed tepals with swept back tips, followed by silky seed-heads. Can be grown in a patio container if provided with a free draining soil.
Also known as tangutica Helios.

The mid pink semi-nodding bell-shaped flowers have prominent deep pink ribs on the outside. A delightful looking plant that grows will as a companion in the border.

Rich deep violet blooms have a silvery sheen when they first open and have striking golden yellow stamens in the centre. Cultivated for the cut flower trade, this prolific clematis is extraordinarily floriferous in the garden or when grown in a container.

Dainty white flowers have a mid-pink margin, purple anthers and are borne in great abundance. Magnificent grown with 'Walenburg'.

The striking vivid reddish-pink blooms are deeply textured and often pale towards the centre of the flower. They have strongly contrasting yellow stamens which make the flower stand out really nicely even from a distance.

Clematis integrifolia has mid-blue nodding bell-shaped flowers with long narrow twisted tepals. This form of the species is strong growing, prolific and easy to grow as well.

The wonderfully rich carmine red flowers have a brighter red bar and deep wine red anthers. This plant has performed really well in my parents hot garden with sandy soil and the uniform shape is very charming.

The dainty pearly-white nodding urn-shaped flowers have a pinky-mauve blush. A vigorous grower that makes a good companion to large shrubs, and whose delightful blooms make excellent cut flowers. 

The silvery-pink buds open to glorious deep crimson flowers and have a white spot at the base of each tepal with contrasting dark brown stamens.

The bright yellow nodding lantern-shaped flowers are followed by beautiful silky seed-heads. Grow in a sunny position to enhance the coconut-like perfume. A favourite in our garden.

The dainty bluey-purple nodding bell-shaped flowers have a white star on the interior and are perfect for that 'cottage garden' look. Clematis 'Little Bas' was raised in Holland on the nursery of J van Zoest and named after their youngest son.

The dainty semi-nodding flowers have white bars and pale mauve-pink margins. Despite its delicate appearance it is an exceptionally 'good-doer' and an excellent garden plant. Another one of Peter's many favourites!

The glorious vibrant red flowers have a textured surface and gently recurved, twisted tips. Their distinctive crown of contrasting yellow stamens adds to the attraction of this outstanding performer.

Clematis 'Margot Koster' is a lovely old clematis which has irregular, somewhat 'dishevelled-looking' flowers of deep mauve-pink, which nevertheless are extremely attractive!  An excellent companion plant, it grows very well with other climbers and though shrub roses.

The delightful semi-nodding creamy-white flowers mature to pure white and have a lovely crown of contrasting purple stamens. This is a lovely form of viticella and performs vey well in many soil types as well as on Any aspect, so very forgiving in it's nature.

This gorgeous old clematis dates from the 1500's. It's semi-nodding rosette-like double flowers are deep dusky-amethyst which look wonderful against a pale background like a rendered wall or cream or white fence.

The delightful semi-nodding flowers have light purply-red margins that gently merge to white bars. It has distinctive pale green stamens with deep purply-red tips.

The clusters of small white, scented flowers are tinged with grey-mauve or pale blue and are produced in great abundance across the plant through the summer and early autumn. 

Small nodding bell-shaped flowers of rich reddish-brown have a bright yellow inside and are followed by a profusion of shiny silvery seed-heads. Very pretty and easy to grow.

The clusters of deep violet-blue hyacinth shaped flowers are beautifully scented. This clump-forming clematis has erect woody stems and requires free draining soil.

The slightly reddy purple blooms have a hint of white at the base of each sepal and almost black anthers. One of the largest blooms in the viticella group and very popular to grow with peach or apricot roses.
