A Japanese beauty to adorn your garden. For this fantastic clematis life started back in 1997 when Masashi Iino took the two clematis florida 'Sieboldiana' and 'Rubra' from the group viticella and created a batch of seedlings. From these seedlings would emerge the plant that was to be called 'Night Veil'. The plant was later registered by our late good friend Hiroshi Takeuchi from who we at Thorncroft got our first plants of Night Veil. It was subsequently launched by Thorncroft Clematis at the Hampton Court Flower Show and became a very popular plant for years to come. |
